y Christmas!
I won't have a whole lot of time today, but I just want to thank all of you first of all for your prayers and for all of the emails that I have received from all of you. I am always aware of the prayers that you send and all of the things that you do in my behalf.
The malagasy streets have been getting more and more packed and cars have been more and more reckless because the Christmas season is here. People are in a hurry to get things done and to get the presents under the tree. Of course, there are many, many people who won't even have the option to consider having a Christmas tree, since they are poor. I am grateful for those people who give freely to those who don't have as much. I know that the poor will be blessed if they follow Jesus Christ, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. A lot of the time I see poor people, they are praising God.
The word Hallelujah is Hebrew for ''Praise ye the Lord''. It is found in the book of psalms and is found in a lot of churches across the globe. But what does this word mean to you? What does it mean to Praise the Lord? To me, it means not only in prayer, but also by action we show our gratitude for God's plan for us and also our love for him by keeping his commandments. We shouldn't ever keep the commandments just because we are ''forced'' to; no one is forcing you to keep the commandments. Rather, it should be out of a commitment of love towards our Father in Heaven. I am forever grateful and will forever Praise the Lord because 2019 years ago He came to this Earth. The greatest gift, the greatest act of love, the greatest sacrifice given. Hallelujah!!!
I received multiple letters from little children from my homeward today. I am also so grateful for all the little children. They are my friends!
Merry Christmas to you all!
Love from,
Elder Johnson
